Dragons are divided into groups based on their metallic hue. Dragons in these groups are able to access mana to manipulate a specific element.

While each dragon can manipulate an element using mana, this mana will slowly tarnish a Dragon's scales into a chromatic colour based on their metallic hue.

Dragons grow over time and become more powerful. However, when a dragon becomes too large, they may be unable to fly due to this increased size and weight.

Below are simplified stats for dragons of each size.

The largest and most common type of dragon. These dragons often set off at a young age, seeking to find glory and riches. These dragons are often encountered under the employ of powerful individuals or mercenary companies. Eventually, they seek to form mercenary companies of their own, or attain a powerful fortress to amass their treasure and plan further exploits.

While other Dragons often try to remain Metallic, many Iron dragons see this as pointless, sometimes even seeing their lingering metallic form as weakness, and a fully Iron dragon may be seen as a coward.

Iron Drakes tend to be stronger than other dragons, with the hardest scales. However, they are not known for social skills or cognitive ability.

Typically living in mines or seaside caves, Cobalt dragons will often have Kobold underlings working for them.

Cobalt Drakes tend to be powerful and perceptive. However, they are fragile and have weaker scales.
